I want to buy a used road or a new inexpensive road bike for a one time triathalon, road race, or MS Bike event, what do I look for?  Most decent new STI shifting road bikes are around $1000.00.  STI shifting is on the handlebars instead of on the downtube of the frame of the road bike.  We can rent you a road bike for a one day or week or month event.  See our rental rate section.  We have some new leftover Specialized and Norco road bikes on sale under $1000.00.  The most important thing to look for is the fit of the bike to you.
