Darlings Island Bike Shop's grand opening occurred  on April 19, 1997.  After Bill spent the year of 1996 constructing the barn building with its green tin roof,  it was ready for the public to enjoy  looking and testriding bikes in the beautiful Darlings Island scenic outdoors. We opened up a deck and added a roof a few years ago for all of our sale bikes. We have been open for 11 years servicing and selling bicycles, clothing, products and accessories.  We cannot wait to serve you.
     We will host the 11th annual Bike Swap every first Saturday in May with a huge rented tent and giving out free hotdogs.  
     Bi annually we host a free bike maintenance seminar in various area locations usually around Halloween in the fall.
     We are fully supported by the company of Specialized Bicycle Components Canada, Inc. with the fit system to fit people to the correct size bikes and accessories and a  great women's  line of bikes and products at www.specialized.ca.
     We have hosted many races in the past 11 years including Road, Cyclocross, and Mountain Bike events with many happy racers participating.  We sponsor a (DIRT) Darlings Island Race Team with our own custom designed jersey and bibshort cycling uniform.  Becky has enjoyed road racing a few years with many new friends.   Look for the black, red, and white colors going by on the road, or woods. Check out our Photo Gallery and go to www.velo.nb.ca for local upcoming races.
     Last year we celebrated our 10th anniversary in business with a huge cake and door prizes. 
     We have hosted 2 Bicycle Trials shows here out in front of the Shop with Ryan Leech, see him at www.ryanleech.com and www.trialsoflife.com.  Kris Holmes and Ryan Senechal performed here a number of years ago  representing Norco Products, Ltd.     
     We also help support, Christian Meier, a world class athlete riding for the Norco Symmetrics Professional Cycling Team from Sussex, NB see him at www.symmetricscycling.com. 
     We started skate sharpening 1 1/2 years ago with a Cag 1 Skate Sharpener with much success.  We offer a few basic hockey supplies.  
     We also proudly serve all mothers in the area with our Chariot Carrier line of strollers and bike carriers at www.chariotcarriers.com  and an economy line of Child carriers and Dog Lover Croozers at www.croozerdesigns.com.
